Established in 1903 and evolved from the Vienna Secession, The Wiener Werkstatte was a production community of visual artists in Vienna, Austria that brought together architects, artists and designers.
The organization was inspired by William Morris and the English Arts and Crafts Movement and founded with goal of restoring the values of handcraftsmanship to an industrial society. It only approved objects of outstanding individuality and beauty. Its motto: “Better to work 10 days on one product that to manufacture 10 products in one day.”
The Cynthia Gale Wiener Werkstatte Collection celebrates the elegance and innovation of this geometric“square style” in timeless, sterling silver repousse. Each patterned piece is constructed by hand to form distinctive, individual designs of sterling art-to-wear.
