    Wiener Werkstatte Collection

Established in 1903 and evolved from the Vienna Secession, the Wiener Werkstatte was a production community of visual artists in Vienna, Austria, that brought together architects, artists and designers and eventually inspired art deco jewelry.

The organization was inspired by William Morris and the English Arts and Crafts Movement and founded with the goal of restoring the values of handcraftsmanship to an industrial society. It only approved objects of outstanding individuality and beauty. Its motto: “Better to work 10 days on one product than to manufacture 10 products in one day.”

The Cynthia Gale New York Wiener Werkstatte Collection celebrates the elegance and innovation of this geometric “square style” to create estate jewelry in timeless sterling silver repousse. Each patterned piece is constructed by hand to form distinctive, individual designs of sterling art-to-wear.
